Femina: Freaky Flatlander

No amount of drop shadow in the world could convince us this girl has ever experienced a 3rd dimension.

Thanks Astaroth. The following PSD is from the Swiss magazine Femina. When I originally looked at this PSD I thought the head neck region had some stretching and then Scooter chimed in and he thought the shadows was making it look awful. In your opinion what's making this magazine cover look so bad?
