F'd Ad Fridays: Star Wars pin-up propaganda calendar

Photographer Joey DeMarco managed to combine an obsession with WWII recruitment posters, Star Wars, and tits in his unlicenced calendar on Etsy:

DeMarco ads, "Quantities are limited. Get them now before you-know-who slaps a Cease and Desist on me!"

Pretty cheesy stuff. However, the samples he posted include one epic mashup:

You can see all the Star Wars pin-ups here.

Check Out My Awesome New Hat

[Don't click, it's big enough already.]

It's an R2-D2 hat, which I was given for my birthday by Liss. And no, I am not dressed like Han Solo, that shirt is purple, but the phone on my camera sucks at color. I will spend the rest of the year making beep-bloop-bort noises. Happy birthday to me!!

The Star Wars Trilogy as a burlesque routine

Star Wars Burlesque from Tenderloins on Vimeo.

Creative Director Russall Beattie told stuff.co.nz that his show combines "the greatest thing of being a kid with the greatest thing of being an adult".

"Slave Leia" burlesque wasn't a big stretch.

"Cameltoe Boba Fett." however...

Coming Soon To A Theater Near You

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace 3D

Note the conspicuous absence of Anakin and Jar Jar on the poster. Anakin is briefly seen in the new trailer, which makes the movie look terrible in three dimensions. Also note that if this release tanks, the other five films will not be given the 3D treatment. Whoops!

Star Wars Emperor's Arrival Scene In Lego

Using 400 LEGO minifigures and over 30,000 Lego pieces, designer Jay Hoff recreated the memorable arrival of the emperor scene from Star Wars for Science Discovery Day at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa. Everything picture above is made from LEGO, except for the starfield, which is hand-painted poster board.

The only concessions he had to make were mixing in Clone Troopers with the Stormtroopers to save some money on the budget. He also inserted Darth Maul and added the right wall in Photoshop for better viewing.

May the vaccinations be with you. Always.

When I was a kid, and Star Wars was still shiny and new, Lucasfilm lent out the cheaper characters for TV Public Service Announcements against drunk driving and smoking.

This doctor's office poster, however, just seen on Reddit, is new to me:

It's obviously an old one, but with the anti-vaccination movement and the renaissance of measles, perhaps it's time for a sequel.
